Dan had no idea what Sanada wanted to discuss. All he knew was that it had to do with Ryoma, and seemed to be quite serious, whatever it was. Of course, it seemed anything concerning Ryoma was a serious matter nowadays.
The fact remained, though, that he had no idea what Sanada was after, and was thus the slightest bit unsure as he made his way upstairs to Sanada's floor, hesitating a bit before knocking on the door. "...Sanada-san?"
Sanada had finished his talk with what was left of Ryoma and he was furious. He wasn't able to fix all of the kid's problems, he knew that, but he was sure as hell going to keep his promise to him. The bastards that hurt him were going to pay dearly for what they had done to him.
He paced in his room, dressed in a pair of jeans and the one t-shirt he owned, waiting anxiously for Echizen's boyfriend to arrive. He needed to find out everything he could then get his men out there to find the son's of bitches before they could get very far. When he heard the knock his pacing stopped though and he walked over to open it, "Come in."
Dan did as he was told, looking at Sanada as he did. The older boy looked... angry. Dan wasn't scared, there was very little aside from Waku that could get him scared, especially now that he was getting over his phobia. However, he would have been lying if he'd claimed he wasn't a bit... wary. "...You said you wanted to talk."
"Ah....." Sanada tried to keep his expression as emotionless as possible but he couldn't keep it all hidden away, "What do you know about the people who did this to him?"
"...Not much, I'm afraid." Dan sighed. "Why would you want to know?"
"Because I made a promise to him that they would die....as I am not keen on waiting for the virus, which they may or may not have gotten, to take effect, I need to know as much about them as possible so that I can find them promptly," Sanada crossed his well toned arms over his chest and frowned.
"...I see." Dan looked at him seriously, still not afraid. Rather, the look in his eyes would probably have scared many. "Can you really... make sure they die?"
"Ah....I can and I can make sure they suffer, but not if I can't find them. I can't ask Echizen to relieve that experience just for the sake of finding them," The look in Dan's eyes made even his skin tingle and he was used to staring down some rather terrifying people.
Dan nodded slowly, narrowing his eyes just a bit. "There were three of them for the most part... four at least at one point. Sadistic fucks, the whole lot of them." He shuddered a bit in disgust but went on, talking in a low, frighteningly calm voice. Ryoma had never actually told him anything, not intentionally, but sometimes he got to babbling and talking and Dan latched onto details because he just had to know more, had to try to make some sense of it all. The details weren't much but they were something, brief, clumsy descriptions of men that had left more of a mark in Ryoma's mind through pain and humiliation than their appearance. Dan's painstaking analysis had probably put together better descriptions than Ryoma himself might have been able to, through logic and thought rather than painful memories he wasn't even trying to turn into anything sensible because he preferred not to think about them. It wasn't much, nowhere near enough for Dan to go out on a hunt, and too reliant on conclusions and assumptions to work for the police; however, for someone who knew where and what to look for, it would be more than enough of a clue to start with.
Sanada listened silently, memorizing all of the details so that he could write them down and relay them to his men. He needed everything the other could remember, because he couldn't risk getting the wrong men, not with what he was going to do to them. There would be no going back so he had to be absolutely certain he got them.
Dan talked for a long time, then finally sighed. "...I can write all that down for you," he murmured. "I have spent a long time thinking."
"Please. I need every little detail to give my men so they can find them," He knew the young dataman would come in handy that way, "Do you want proof of their deaths?" Sanada asked and got Dan a notebook to write everything in and a pen. He was treating the whole matter in a very businesslike fashion, because that was how he'd been taught.
Dan started to write quickly, all things he'd gone over time and time again in his mind. "...I will trust your word," he replied. "...Your men?" He wasn't scared. He was curious.
Sanada watched him write and nodded, "Ah....I can't find them on my own, not with classes and practice. However, I will take a night and dispose of them personally." It was the least he could do for his now emotionally and physically scarred rival.
"...Thank you." No, it wasn't wise to incur Dan's wrath. And there were few things that did that more effectively than causing Ryoma to get hurt. "...I wish I could do it." However, he lacked the resources and, frankly, the skills. ...He was sure he wouldn't have had any problems with finding the necessary resolve, though.
"I can arrange for you to be present and assist if you wish," He knew it wasn't smart to let someone outside of the family be there, but he couldn't help putting himself in the other's place. He would want to do it himself too.
"...I would appreciate that." There was a part of him that couldn't even believe what he was saying. Another, bigger part of him was wholly in agreement.
Those bastards had hurt Ryoma. They had to pay.
"Then I'll let you know when I have them gathered," Sanada pulled out his wallet and offered a business card to Dan, "Here."
Dan accepted the card with a small bow. He wished he'd had his own card to give in return; he felt rather awkward at not being able to match Sanada's very business-like manner.
"Just message me with your number when you have the chance," His eyes flicked over to read over the notebook carefully. It seemed detailed enough. He knew his men and he knew their skills. If they were still in Japan his boys could find them.
"I will." Dan nodded in confirmation. "...Thank you, again."
"Ah....and thank you for the details. I appreciate the assistance," He also appreciated that Dan didn't ask too many questions. It was always easier that way.
"It's the least I could do." Dan shook his head. "I'm just sorry I can't offer more."
"Just....watch out for him, alright? He....doesn't think he deserves to live......I got him to promise me that he would stay alive and not give up, for your sake.....don't make him or I regert that....please...."
"...Sanada-san..." Dan tilted his head to the side, offering up a soft, careful little smile that was completely at odds with his earlier look. "He is everything to me."
Sanada's expression softened as well and he nodded, "Good....he deserves that...." Sanada gave a little bow to Dan then pulled out his phone, "If you'll excuse me, I wish to make this call as soon as possible."
"I won't take up any more of your time." Dan gave another little bow. "...Thank you, again."
"Ah..." Sanada murmured and pulled out his cellphone. DIaling the number from memory, he couldn't figure out how to store numbers in his phone, he called up a group of men he knew were in the area and read them the discription. They would find them. He had faith in them.
Dan was gone by then, perhaps the slightest bit disturbed at what had happened, but not unsure anymore. In fact, he'd never felt more confident before.
Ryoma would get his justice.
