He had no idea what he was doing. Well, that was actually a lie. Sengoku was fully aware of what he was doing, wandering the hall, armed with two large takeaway cups filled with hot chocolate - complete with marshmallows - and a bag of cookies. He was going to apologize, and sugar seemed like it might be a worthy bribe to aid in forgiving the red-head. If it didn't work, he risked being scalded with boiling hot hot chocolate, but at least he'd still have the cookies to take the pain away. Upon reaching his destination, he stopped walking and stared at the door in front of him, thinking a moment. He had to do this. He had spent so much time just thinking about what had happened and what was going on in his own mind, and now he needed advice and a second opinion. Someone who had openly offered help seemed the best choice. "Kirihara-kun?" He called, not about to risk trying to knock on the door with full hands. Getting burned was not high on his to-do list.

Laying on his bed, putting off everything he was supposed to be doing had always been his favorite past time. Today was no exception. His hair back to its natural curliness and clad in a pair of baggy jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt, that he was practically swimming in, he watched a random movie in English that his dad had recommended to him. He didn't understand a word of what was going on, but he found amusement in trying to name the brands of things he saw in it, at least until he heard his name.

Turning off the TV he looked around curiously, for a moment he thought it was Niou, but his spiky haired roommate never called him Kirihara.... He got up and went over to open the door with a surprised look on his face, "Sengoku-san..." He murmured and stepped aside to let the other man in, "What uh--what are you doing here?" Did he smell cookies?

"I brought gifts," he announced, lifting the cookies and hot chocolates to make it clear what he was talking about. He said it with a smile, seemingly back to his usual, optimistic self as he stepped inside. Once he was inside, however, the mood darkened slightly, and the smile seemed just a little forced. "I wanted to... apologize," he said quietly, turning around to face Kirihara. "And ask for some help with this new video game I found." Okay, so it wasn't exactly a video game. It just seemed like the easiest way to put things. Besides, it wasn't like he couldn't learn how to get used to liking guys - because his time locked inside his room and lying on his bed simply staring at the roof had given him enough time to think and realize that he had just been acting like a stubborn idiot who was afraid of change.

Akaya locked the door behind him, feeling this was something they didn't really want interrupted, and watched Sengoku with even more surprise on his face, "You didn't have to apolo---video game?" He blinked a couple times, brain easily distracted by one of his favorite phrases. He had said he'd teach Sengoku to play.... Smiling a little he gestured to his bed, "Sit, tell me about this game..."

Sengoku did as he was told, sitting down on the end of the bed and placing the bag of cookies down beside him. "Here," he said, holding out one of the hot chocolates, sipping at the other carefully so he didn't burn his tongue. He lapsed into silence for a moment before finally giving a shrug at looking straight at Akaya with a sheepish smile. "You were right."

Akaya took his hot chocolate with a little murmured thanks then sat down on the other end of the bed, not wanting to crowd Sengoku, "About wha---oh," He blinked then smiled a little, "Yeah?"

"Yeah..." He glanced down at the cup in his hand, still smiling slightly as he gave a nod. "It doesn't make any difference what they are... It's all about who they are inside." Man, now he sounded like some cheesy romanticist. When did he become one of those?

Not being able to help it he laughed quietly, sounding just like he did during their date, "That was a cheesy way to put it," he laughed then smiled at Sengoku, his curls bouncing a little in front of his eyes, "But it's true."

"Hey, don't pick on the newbie," Sengoku said with a laugh, grinning just a little. "You try saying it without sounding cheesy, then."

"Not possible," Akaya laughed again and stuck his tongue out at him, before sipping on his hot chocolate.

“My point exactly," He said with a nod before glancing at the bag of cookies beside him and sighing slightly. "I've been acting like such an asshole..."

"You were confused and freaking out, I don't blame ya," he said honestly and eyed the bag of cookies as well, "I was the same way..." Akaya admitted and willed the bag of cookies open with his mind. He really needed to develop mind powers soon, he was too lazy to live without them.

Sengoku glanced at Akaya and laughed, picking the bag up to throw to him. "Here. They're for you anyway," he said with a smile. "Thought they might make a good apology for making that date end so quickly and all."

Akaya grinned like the little demon he was and opened the bag to pop one into his mouth with a content groan, "Mmm these are awesome! Thank you!" He chimed happily and smiled at Sengoku, "Look, I'm not upset about that or anything, you had every right to be pissed at me," He explained and shrugged before popping another cookie into his mouth.

He's like a little kid. The red-head couldn't help the grin on his lips as he watched Akaya. The cookies had definitely been a good choice. "Even so," he continued, occasionally sipping at his drink. "I don't like to be the one to make dates end so badly. Especially one as enjoyable as that."

Flushing a little, Akaya sipped at his hot chocolate and watched Sengoku, "It was a good date, wasn't it?" He grinned, "I can honestly say it was the best date I've ever been on with a man."

"Even if you spent it pretending to be a girl?" He asked with a cocked eyebrow. Akaya had made a damn good-looking girl, as well, and Sengoku had a feeling it wasn't an image he was going to forget anytime soon.

"Yeah, since I didn't really have to act too much..." he mumbled and shrugged, "Though my leg hair still hasn't grown back," which he was indeed a little bitter about, "like I said, I didn't lie about anything 'cept my name."

"I do try and make my dates enjoyable," Sengoku said, slowly leaning towards Akaya so he could steal one of the cookies. "What's the point if only half of the couple is enjoying it?"

"It was nice to be treated that kindly by someone..." He sighed, "My ex... wasn't ever really happy to go on dates or nothin--so... that made me really happy... besides, you're a real good kisser," He stuck his tongue out at him, "even if you are a cookie thief."

"I bought them. It's only fair you share," he pointed out with a grin before sliding off the edge of the bed to sit on the floor, leaning back against it. "Everyone has different views on what a 'date' actually is. As long as you're with someone you care about and you're both enjoying yourselves, it shouldn't matter where you are or what you're doing." Oh goody. More cheesy romanticism.

He looked down at Sengoku and smiled, "You really are sappy.... it's cute," he teased and laid on his back, his head hanging off the bed next to Sengoku's, "and yeah...I believe the same thing...though sometimes it's nice to do the whole dinner and a movie thing, ya know? And man, I forgot how awesome it felt to be able to kiss in public....." He sighed and looked at Sengoku, curls hanging off his head making him look like an upside down chia pet.

"I'm older than you. I'm allowed to be sappy," Sengoku said with an almost childish pout, poking at Akaya's temple softly. The kissing comment brought a slight blush to his cheeks, which he attempted to hide with his cup as he took another sip of the hot chocolate inside. "It was a pretty good kiss," he mumbled softly, mostly to himself.

He grinned and rolled over to his stomach as the blood started rushing to his head, "It was, wasn't it?" Akaya had always prided himself on his kissing skills, but that kind of kiss was all new territory to him, though he had to admit Sengoku was pretty damn awesome at it.

He gave a slow nod, taking an equally slow sip of his drink and closing his eyes. "I should probably thank you," he said after a short silence, keeping his eyes closed as he relaxed back against the bed.

"For what?" Akaya asked curiously and pillowed his head on his arms to watch Sengoku curiously.

"For kissing me." Sengoku's lips quirked slightly in a slight smile as he opened one eye to glance at his companion.

"Oh?" Akaya grinned and moved down to the floor to kneel in front of Sengoku, looking much like an excited kid, "And why is that?"

Sengoku opened both of his eyes properly, looking straight at Akaya. "I dunno," he shrugged slightly. "It made me think about everything, I guess."

Akaya had never been good at sitting still and soon he found himself sitting pressed right up against Sengoku's side as they leaned back against the bed, "Do you think it will be a little easier to be one of the few straight guys here now?" He asked curiously, honestly wanting to know the answer.

He didn't comment on the closeness, not really uncomfortable with sharing his personal space. "I don't think I could really be considered 'one of the few straight guys'," he admitted quietly, closing his eyes. That ever-worried face appeared on the back of his eyelids for the nth time since he had arrived and he gave a soft sigh. He still wasn't one hundred percent sure on his feelings for that particular person, but he was pretty damn certain now.

Akaya stared at him for a long moment then smiled gently before patting him on the knee, "Welcome to the bi-club," he teased gently and let his hand linger there, he'd never been very good at respecting personal space. If this had been his third time hanging out with Sengoku he would have already been in the man’s lap, "look.....don't look so upset about it.....like you said...it doesn't matter the gender...it's about the person....so...just go after someone if you like them, tell ‘em how you feel....ya never know what'll happen."

“There's a high chance he won't even believe me," Sengoku sighed. He'd already developed a reputation as a dead-straight guy. He doubted there were very many people who would believe him straight away if he suddenly announced his newfound sexuality.

"I can kiss you in front of him?" He suggested with a little smile and rubbed his knee gently, "Look, if you tell him seriously and tell him you had problems accepting it ya know, he'll believe you...."

"I guess..." He said quietly before giving a slightly unsure smile. "You know, if you were gonna kiss me in front of him to make him understand, wouldn't it be easier to video you kissing me to post for all to see? Or would you just want an excuse to kiss me every time someone didn't believe me?" It was meant to be a joke but his tone fell a little more on the serious side, given what they were talking about.

"Option number two," He said with a gentle smile that was reserved for people he really liked, "Don't worry.....if he likes guys, I can bet ya he went through something like this.....struggling with his feelings and stuff....it's normal---well if you like the same sex it's normal---but---"

"You get it no matter who you like," Sengoku pointed out, tilting his cup up as he finished the last of his hot chocolate. "There's always something that makes you hesitate. Girl's tend to slap you if you're too forward."

Akaya nodded in agreement and rubbed at his cheek at the memory, "I hear ya there, they hit hard for having such small bodies...." He sipped at his own hot chocolate and watched Sengoku, enjoying having someone to talk to.

“Speaking of small, what happened to you?" he asked, glancing at Akaya and giving him a full once-over. "You used to be shorter than me."

"Growth spurt," Akaya shrugged and took another long sip of cocoa, "My dad is American so it doesn't surprise me I got his height and stuff."

"Well aren't you lucky?" Sengoku gave a slight smile before resting his head on the other's shoulder, closing his eyes and holding his empty cup in his lap. "I'm destined to be short forever."

Akaya leaned his head on Sengoku's and smiled, "You're a good height, being tall kinda sucks in this country, I always hit my head on stuff."

"That's why you duck, Kirihara-kun," he tried not to laugh, but failed, chuckling softly. His eyes remained closed as he breathed out slowly, not wanting to move.

He laughed as well and smiled that big childish grin, "Yeah, yeah, whatever." It was nice, having someone rely on him--even if it was just for something small like a shoulder to rest on, it had been far too long since he'd gotten to be of any use to anyone and he'd missed it.

"If you duck, you won't lose those few precious brain cells you have left," Sengoku teased, lifting his head so he could reach up to ruffle Akaya's hair. It had been so long since he had found a single person's company enough to keep him happy without have to worry about any of their other relationships, like he now did with Dan. The blind date had become an excuse for him to spend time with someone new, and that someone had turned out to be pleasant company he didn't mind keeping. "Hey, Kirihara-kun?”

He snorted and leaned into the ruffling a little because he'd always loved the feeling of it, "Yeah?" Akaya asked with big innocent, but happy green eyes that hid how devious and experienced the lanky boy really was.

"If our date hadn't been interrupted, what would you have wanted to do afterwards?" He asked out of mild curiosity. Though he wasn't about to tell Akaya, he was trying to figure out a way to finish that blind date on a happy note, since the original one had gone downhill a bit.

"Well, if it hadn't meant you finding out I was a man and flipping out more than ya did? Probably sleep with you...." He said with a little sigh, "But, ya know, really, I would have been happy with anything.....you're a lot of fun and I like hanging out with you."

"Feeling's mutual," Sengoku gave a smile as he opted to ignore the first option. He was still coming to complete grips with liking a guy. Sex could wait. A long time. "Plus you make a good pillow."

Akaya laughed, "You are not the first to say that," he teased and leaned his head against Sengoku's again, "You're not so bad yourself though."

He didn't say anything else, instead just leaning his full weight against the boy next to him and letting himself relax completely. It wasn't until a moment later that a thought occurred to him. "Ah, Kirihara-kun," he said quietly, sitting up properly so he could look straight at him. "Before you left after our date... You said something about kinda liking me. What'd you mean by that?" He wasn't an idiot. He knew all the implications that could come from the statement, but he wanted to know exactly which implication Akaya meant.

And the comfortable silence was gone. Akaya turned a lovely shade of red at being called out so suddenly and he looked away, "Oh uh---I was---um....well---I kinda like you---I mean.....you're smart, you're funny, you're lucky apparently---you're cute---" He rambled and touched his fingers together nervously, "Don't---don't feel all strange or nothing--I won't do anything to ya--" at least not if Sengoku didn't want him to, "So um--stay my friend at least? Please?"

Sengoku just laughed and reached forward to ruffle Akaya's hair with a grin. "I think you're the cute one here," he said before leaning into him again. "Of course I'll stay your friend. You helped me after all."

He smiled and flushed a little at the feeling of fingers in his hair, "good."

He smiled in return and breathed out slowly, relaxing into him again. "Your ex," he said quietly. "Who is it?" Sure, he didn't mind a comfortable silence, but silence be damned when he was feeling curious.

He tensed a little at the thought of his ex, but he knew he needed to get over it and talking about it was one way to do that, "Shishido Ryou..." Akaya mumbled.

"Shishido-kun," Sengoku echoed before giving a slow nod. "No wonder you missed out on dates." As far as Sengoku was concerned, Shishido had never really occurred to him as someone who would get into any sort of relationship beyond friendship.

Akaya smiled a little and nodded, "Yeah....we were together for like a year and a couple months....." He had never really thought about it, but he and Ryou had never really gone out on any dates---ever.

"And you were happy?" Sengoku would admit he was at least a little impressed, considering he had never managed to keep a relationship going past the first date. He didn't know why, it was just like that.

“Well--yeah....until we got married....then it just....got harder and harder....and....I love--loved him....but....he --" Akaya shook his head, "Sorry, didn't mean to unload stupid stuff on ya."

He shook his head and smiled softly. "I don't mind. Really."

"It just....didn't end well...." He said with a little sad smile and ran his hand through his curly hair, "But hey--some relationships are like that....I just--didn't expect ours to end up that way...he's the only guy I've ever been with...."

"No one expects relationships to end badly when things seem to go so well," Sengoku reached up to place a hand on Akaya's shoulder, still smiling. "Are you still friends?"

"No...." He murmured, "I--havent seen him since the breakup....he went home for a while...." Akayas eyes seemed sad, but he tried to shake it off, not wanting to get himself into one of these moods again.

Okay, so maybe it wasn't the best of topics to broach. Sengoku shifted slightly away from Akaya before putting an arm around his shoulders and pulling him close again. "You don't have to say anything if you don't want to, Kirihara-kun."

He sniffled a little and finally feeling comfortable enough crawled onto Sengoku's lap, straddling him before burying his face against his shoulder, "S-sorry.....I'll be fine in a minute...." It just took him a while to recompose himself and push everything aside.

Shaking his head, the red-head simply wrapped both his arms around Akaya, one around his shoulders and the other around his waist, slowly rubbing his back. "Take your time," he said softly, knowing just how hard it could be to show those more depressing emotions.

"Thank you..." Akaya murmured and after a couple minutes of just being held, pulled back a little to look at Sengoku, that smile slowly creeping it's way back onto his lips.

Seeing the smile, he gave one his one and tilted his head. "Better?"

"Yeah.....it's gettin’ easier with time," He said honestly and nodded, "Sorry that was probably really lame, huh?" Akaya asked, using one of Shishido's phrases that he'd adopted without realizing it.

Sengoku laughed softly and shook his head. "It's just true," he said.

"Yeah..." Akaya laughed quietly as well and just sat, quite comfortable straddling Sengoku.

Normally, he would've commented or simply pushed the other boy off of his lap, but, right now, he was actually quite comfortable, having shifted his arms so they were both loosely resting around Akaya's waist. He was silently thanking the fact that the door had been locked earlier. He could do without anyone walking in right now.

"Hey..." Akaya murmured quietly, "Would you be....totally opposed to me kissing you again?" He asked curiously and rested his hands comfortably on Sengoku's chest.

Sengoku blushed at the question, barely getting out an almost inaudible, "I-I..." What sort of question was that, anyway? Certainly not one he had ever been asked before. All kisses he had previously experienced had sort of just... happened. There had never been a question for permission or anything even remotely close to it.

He flushed a little at the response and just smiled, "Hey, don't get all freaked out or nothing, it's ok to say no," He patted Sengoku on the chest and started to move to get up, not wanting to make the redhead even more uncomfortable.

Sengoku gave a slight pout and tightened his arms slightly around Akaya's waist, silently asking him to stay. "I'm not freaked out or anything..." He said quietly, glancing away briefly. "I've just... never been asked."

Akaya stared at him for a long moment, getting comfortable on his lap again he smiled, "Oh? Well there's a first time for everything, you know..." he teased gently and ran his hands over Sengoku's chest gently.

He nodded. There certainly was a first time for everything, and, lately, his 'firsts' seemed to somehow involve the male in his lap.

"So....I can kiss you....?" He asked gently and watched Sengoku, making sure he didn't do something the other didn't want.

Sengoku nodded slowly, subconsciously running his tongue over his lips to get rid of the slightly chapped feeling.

His smile grew a little more before he leaned in to press his lips gently to Sengoku's. It was a slightly more controlling kiss than last time, but it was still slow and only going as far as the red head wanted it.

He was a little hesitant in pressing back, but he eventually did, letting his eyes fall closed as he did so. In the back of his mind, he knew he was hesitating because it was his first time kissing another guy - the kiss on their blind date didn't count because, at the time, he had thought Akaya was a girl - and he was a little wary of what to expect.

Bringing up a hand to cup Sengoku's cheek he kissed him gently, letting him get used to the feeling because he remembered just how weird it felt to be kissed by a guy for the first time.

Sengoku had no objections to a slow kiss. It could be just as good as any other kiss, after all, and this one wasn't proving him wrong. It was definitely different, though, and he noticed the distinct lack of the urge to just take over.

He let it continue on for a long while before slowly licking at Sengoku’s lips, gently urging them apart so he could deepen the kiss. The kiss sending sparks down his spine.

Sengoku quietly welcomed the prying tongue, parting his lips for it. There were three things about this kiss that were making it feel so different to any other kiss. It was a guy he was kissing. It was a guy who had asked to kiss him who he was kissing. It was a guy who he was not romantically involved with in anyway, and he was being submissive. All that was completely balanced out by the fact that it felt pretty damn good.

With a content purr, Akaya slipped his tongue into the other man’s mouth and explored. It had been a long time since he'd had a kiss like this and his head was spinning from it. It was so new but at the same time so familiar and god it felt damn good.

It was certainly a new feeling, having someone else's tongue in your mouth, and he couldn't help but wonder if this was how girls had felt when he had kissed them. He didn't give himself long to wonder, though, instead pressing his tongue softly against Akaya's.

Akaya groaned approvingly and gently played with Sengoku’s tongue before pulling his own back, inviting the redhead to do some exploring of his own and letting the other get into more comfortable and familiar territory.

Sengoku took the invitation without second thought, slipping his tongue past both their lips into Akaya's mouth, switching between exploring and brushing his tongue against the others.

He groaned into the kiss again and trailed his fingers over Sengoku's chest slowly. Liking the feel of muscle under the other mans shirt. Tennis players really were the best.

The fingers over his chest made a chill run down his spine and he tightened his arms around Akaya's to pull him just a little closer as a soft groan vibrated in his throat. He briefly opened his eyes but closed them again, the blurriness of his vision too distracting.

Pressing even closer to Sengoku he felt his whole body quiver. It was a wonderful sensation that he didn't want to end, but like all good things it had to. Slowly, he broke the kiss to suck in a shaky, but much needed, breath and look at Sengoku as his heart pounded loudly in his chest.

Sengoku couldn't help the small whimper that he gave as Akaya pulled away, even if he knew it was for good reason - he felt light-headed and he knew that wasn't just from the kiss. Not risking opening his eyes for fear of making himself dizzy, he leaned his head back against the bed behind him, breathing in short, shaky pants to get breath back into his body, his face flushed and his mouth hanging open ever-so-slightly.

He panted quietly and rested his forehead against Sengoku's shoulder with a quiet groan. He was far too turned on right then to be sitting in someone’s lap like that, but nothing short of a natural disaster would make him move.

When he had finally managed to catch most of his breath, the flush mostly faded from his cheeks, Sengoku slowly lifted his head again and cautiously opened his eyes. His vision blurred initially, but a few quick blinks and it was back to normal again. "Ki.. Kirihara-kun..." he murmured quietly, still just a little breathless as he lifted a hand to run his fingers through the other's curly hair.

"You can call me Akaya, ya know," He said with a little breathless chuckle as he lifted his head to look at Sengoku, his lips a little fuller from the kiss.

"Akaya," Sengoku repeated slowly, smiling slightly as he said it. "Kiyo." He stated after a short moment. "I only hear Kiyosumi when I'm in trouble." Which meant he heard it a lot.

"Kiyo," Akaya said with a little grin, "I like it..." he murmured quietly.

He gave a slight grin and a soft laugh in reply before breathing out slowly and leaning forward to rest his head on Akaya's shoulder, quietly lapsing into thought.

It was his turn to pet the other man's hair gently, his fingers toying with the soft red strands. The other had a lot to think about, so he just stayed quiet for a while, giving him all the time he needed.

Sengoku closed his eyes again, breathing shallowly. He was still trying to figure out why he had let Akaya kiss him. Normally, he wouldn't kiss anyone unless they were together, or at least on a date, but here he was with one of his old tennis rivals, learning all about kissing guys first hand. Not to mention being the submissive one. He would never have guessed he'd ever be doing that.

It was Akaya's turn to be the strong one, to just wait and support the other man, so he did, hopefully making the other feel as secure and comfortable as Sengoku had done for him.

Sengoku didn't feel he needed support. It was actually a nice feeling, learning about yourself, realizing how little you really know about yourself. Mom'll be so-- The thought stopped there and the very idea of his own mother finding out his recent self-revelations seemed to sap his confidence completely, until the red-head moved his arms from around Akaya's waist to wrap them tightly around his neck and press his face into the crook of his own elbow. "She can't know..." He mumbled to himself, his voice shaking a little. He knew just how much it would hurt for his mother to find out that he wasn't as straight as everyone thought he was - hurt for him, not hurt for her.

"Your mom?" Akaya asked quietly, he was surprisingly intelligent sometimes and he was pretty sure he understood what was bothering the red head, "Hey....it will be alright....." he reassured quietly and wrapped his arms securely around Sengoku.

"You don't know her," he mumbled against his arm before biting down on his lower lip softly. Now that he properly thought about it, it was probably his mother that he could blame for his being uncomfortable about any sort of intimacy that wasn't between and girl and a guy.

He held him close and kissed the side of his head gently, not sure what to say. Akaya had been blessed with a loving family that cared about him, no matter what and had been more than happy when he'd told them he had a boyfriend so he didn't know what to do when they didn't accept it. He could never imagine disliking someone just because of their sexual preference.

Sengoku's fingers twitched slightly, slowly curling into fists, grasping onto the material of Akaya's shirt. His sister would accept it, and her fiancée definitely, his dad might, and his extended family wasn't close enough for it to really matter, but his mother... His family had always been so close but something so small as this was going to destroy that... I shouldn't have come here.

"Hey...." Akaya murmured quietly and closed his eyes, "It will be alright.....I know it will be.....even if.....even if she doesn't accept it right away she will later.....She's your mom.....I'm sure she loves you a lot...." He just hoped he was right.

He just nodded slowly in response, unsure himself as to whether it was a nod to agree with what the other had said or a nod to confirm he had heard what Akaya had said. He did eventually relax enough that his hands uncurled and his arms went limp enough that they were more just resting there rather than holding.

Akaya just stayed silent, rubbing his back gently, trying to reassure him even though he knew honestly there was nothing he could do. Sengoku was the only one who could say how his parents would really react, but the fact just drove him nuts. He didn't want to see people he cared about suffer.

Breathing out slowly, Sengoku finally pulled back enough that he could see Akaya's face, giving a slight smile. "I'm okay," he said quietly, sounding more as though he was trying to convince himself than anything.

Smiling a little in return, Akaya kissed his forehead gently and looked at him, "You're not alone in all of this, so don't worry okay?"

Sengoku gave a slow nod and smiled, before resting his forehead against Akaya's. "I'll try," he said quietly.

Akaya smiled at that and kissed Sengoku gently again, glad to have made a new friend out of everything.

Friend may have been the term to describe his relationship with Akaya, but the other boy's actions were far more intimate and touchy-feely that he had ever experienced or seen in people outside of a relationship. Not that he really minded. It as comforting, having someone hold him like Akaya had.

Akaya had never been good at sticking to the rules that people had placed on friendships and relationships and well--he'd inherited his parents’ affectionate ways so touching and kissing had always been very comfortable for him and were the way he best understood how to express his emotions. He was just glad the other didn't hate it.

The only thing that worried Sengoku about Akaya's affectionate displays was that some people may get the wrong idea if he acted like that too much in public. "Hey, Kir-- Akaya?" he asked. "Did you eat all those cookies?"
