Notes for Posterity

Katie walked her first steps (more than just one step and fall over) yesterday evening at Tot Spot. Today she hasn't done any, but she's been demanding to walk around holding hands all day. No really ALL DAY. She also can now speak four words fairly consistently: mummy, daddy, banana and cracker. Guess what's important to my little eating machine.

Jamie and I played a new game today: mummy makes a sad face, mummy gets a kiss from Jamie, mummy makes a happy face, Jamie giggles, repeat until it's impossible to make sad faces because I'm laughing too much. Fun times.

I went back up to 300 (from 150) n my meds a couple of weeks back, and it's finally caught up with me. I felt normal and functional again today. Thank goodness. Today I cooked dinner. It's quite possibly the first time I've cooked dinner on a Friday (I don't have a nanny come in on Fridays) for about 2 months. That's how much difference my meds make.

Anything else? I don't think so. All the little skills the kids have improve day by day, and they both become more and more involved with me and each other every day. It's fun to watch, and (now that I'm functioning again, at least) I love every minute of it (ok, honestly, all the minutes that don't involve screaming).
