A week to myself.
Shrek decided to take a week and go visit his family down on Planet Huston, so I've got the house all to myself. I forgot how nice it is to not have anyone around unless you want them to be.
Saw the Dark Knight today. I solemnly swear not to post spoilers, but HOLY SHIT! There will NEVER be a Joker as good as Heath Ledger! The man is actually terrifying. I spent the whole movie going "If I came across someone like this, I would be soiling myself." Lots of good 'splody moments, and some genius timing on the part of the departed Mr. Ledger. Shame to lose a person with his talent.
Did dinner and drinks with
rabbitwarren the other night. Great fun, and lots of good conversation. The only awkward part was stepping on her toes (literally) when I hugged her hello. She forgave me though, so all is well.
That's about it for me. Tomorrow is my second day off in a row, which is an almost obscene luxury for me considering the way my schedule has gone this summer, and next Saturday I take off for a week at the beach in Florida. It's with my extended family, true, but I will be doing my best to make it an actual vacation and just let any sniping or bitchiness on the part of my relatives slide off. It worked last year, especially with Hornsby's to aid in the relaxing.
