To play or not to play

I decided not to "play." I just sent the director of "Treasure Island" an email that I would not be doing the show. It wasn't even for sure I would be playing a pirate (that's for your clarification, Aviva, haha). I would've been a random character or characters (possibly pirate-y), but most definitely manly. I think it would be fun, but I guess I just wasn't sure if it was worth giving up a lot of free time to do. I hope I can do another play in the future, but I would just like to be able to get a more substantial role. I'm not talking a lead or anything, just someone who says stuff other than just "aye, sir."

I feel a little uneasy about it, but I'm trying to think of what I will be gaining instead of losing by not doing it.

In other thoughts ... anyone else pumped about Harry Potter coming out this weekend? I am lame and didn't pre-order it in time, so I am now on a wait list at Borders. I hope i can get a copy Saturday.
