Interesting development in the roomate replacement saga:
Last week, a girl came through to our interviews who seemed nice, like she had a good social life (so she wouldn't be hanging around) and, as a bonus, is also an MLS fan.
So, naturally, she shoots to the top of my list. One of my roommates, we'll call her Sandusky since that's not her name, had a bad reaction to this girl for reasons I've yet to figure out. She thought I had a crush on the new girl (I guess from my excitement over her knowing not only who the Red Bulls are but having been to Cirque de Soliel with Taylor Twellman --- not as cute as on TV, she says) and was very much for another girl.
Last night, in the most sweltering our apartment has ever been, we had the three finalists over. The girl I favored, one girl everyone else favored (who I would have been fine with) and a third girl (really, I voted for a guy somewhere in there so stop looking at me like that).
By the end of the night, the girl everyone liked had removed herself from consideration (only wanted to stay three months) so it was down to the two girls. Sandusky was still unhappy with the MLS girl (we'll call her Taylor since that's not her name) although I can't seem to figure out why. RD (roommate Danielle, as opposed to GD - girlfriend Danielle), Jeremiah and I for Taylor and Sandusky and departing roommate for other girl.
I asked Sandusky if she had a real issue with Taylor and, that if she did, now would be the time to say something. She fidgeted, said "she just had a feeling" and that she wanted the other girl but would be fine with Taylor.
When I talked to GD (that looks bad, I need a new acronym), she suggested that Sandusky might have a crush on me and be worried (despite having a girlfriend that Sandusky's met) that Taylor will steal me away or something.
I think that's prepostorous ... but, could it be?
Anyway, mostly this is just an excuse to use this new icon I picked up.
