Whisper quiet
In Oz's absence, I'm back on the low-power PC, running the pared down version of Windows CE. I'd forgotten how peaceful it was having a silent desktop...
...also, I was incredibly surprised to discover that GTalk works on it! This is via the gMail interface, where you get the little chat windows in your Inbox. So that's pretty cool - this device doesn't run Java Apps, only JavaScript (I think), which ruled out sites like meebo, and the only instant messaging client it sports is (unsurprisingly) MSN Messenger which, again perhaps unsurprisingly, I don't use.
