I can hardly believe it, but today was T's first day (morning, actually) of preschool. He is going one morning a week over the summer and then 4 mornings a week starting in the fall. When I left him he was knee deep in the wading pool and having a lovely time. I'll go pick him up in about 1/2hr. So it will be interesting to see how it went.

PB is away in SF for work this week. It's going okay, but it's hard. I miss him a lot this time around. We are very fortunate that he gets to work from home 90% of the time. However the down side is that he has to go to SF for work about every 6wks for a week ( Read more... )

Tadhg turned the big 0-2 on Friday. WOW! That IS just mind blowing. It is such a gift to look into his eyes everyday and learn all over again about the wonderment of the world. It really does give you perspective.

Last Wednesday my knitting group told me they were holding a baby shower for me this Sunday. I was truly taken back as I had not been expecting it at all. My Dad arrives next Tuesday for potentially 6wks. Wow! He is taking various little side trips here and there, so it's not 6wks straight. This trip has been in the works for 6mths. It's been 2wks since I've posted... Time for a just-before-bed update. I've finished the green sheep blanket (well the knitting part) and have blocked it. I just have to sew on a fleece back and it will be done. I am sooo happy that this is coming to an end. Now it's onto the 400 other knitting projects that I have set myself over the next 6mths.
