Mac hated illness. Mac hated illness so much it wasn't funny.

She felt like her head was full of nails one second and then swaddled in cotton wool the next. It wasn't like she had drank herself stupid lately, so it wasn't a hangover, it wasn't even like she had been around anyone with the cold or flu or anything. She spent all her time in the garage or wandering to the mess when Shar Pei phoned her extension to bitch about how she hadn't eaten yet.

But for some reason, there she was, feeling like shit and her powers shorting out everything in her garage. She retreated to the mess in a bid to not ruin all her work. The chef had taken one look at her and started a batch of chicken soup, even if she protested that it wasn't a cold.

It was a nice gesture anyway.

At least until she sneezed and the coffee machine in the corner practically exploded. The filter blew out the top and the wiring crossed somewhere and foaming milk started to spew out of the machine. One of the staff put up an out of order sign and a bucket at the nozzle to collect the milk, tutting slightly as Mac just rested her elbow on the table and stared at her soup.

Yes, Mac really hated illness.
