It really is a wonder to me how I gather such strength from so many ladies I've never even met. But, I have to say that your comments to my post yesterday really did wonders for my spirit. Now, I'm not saying I'm not obsessing over it still (because I am a bit) but I feel a lot better about it. THANK YOU!!!
I also talked with Brad about the whole thing again last night and he asked me if he should tell his parents they owe me a formal letter of apology. I started laughing because I thought he was joking and then I laughed even harder when I realized he was being serious! ;o) I tell ya what... All I could say to that was that I didn't think it would really do a whole lot to make me feel better and it would only serve to upset his parents. So, I think we've decided to just let it all lie as is. However, we also decided that if any kind of future issue arises where I receive harsh or unfair judgements (or he does) or if unnecessary comments are made that we're going to address it right then.
So now I just need to let it go myself. Oh, and B's aunt called his mom and then him today to ask why I had sent that apology out and was I OK. She also said to both that she hoped I wasn't embarassed because we were all having fun and there wasn't anything to be embarassed or sorry about. HA! And I say it again, HA! B's mom called and left me a message on my phone about it (B emailed me about it at work) to make me "feel better" and I think she did so because she realizes that they took things too far with me.
Ah, I am so glad it is Friday! I'm sitting here sipping on an eggnog latte (which I know a lot of people love but I have to say I'm a little disappointed by it and it makes my teeth and gums feel funny) and waiting for Brad to get home. We're dropping the Element off at the dealer tonight for it's "check up" and B's following me in the Jetta and then we're going to pick up some front running paint colors for our bedroom from Restoration Hardware so we can slap 'em on the wall and see if we like them (has anyone used RH paint?). Then, we're going to go to dinner somewhere and I'm going to have a drink! Ooh, bad me. B also wants to go to a movie because he says we haven't done that in a long time. He's right. I just don't know what in the heck is playing right now though.
Tomorrow we're picking up the "Concord Ivory" Benjamin Moore paint for our living room and hallways and will be painting (I think, our plans have a way of changing lately). We're also getting a replacement chair delivered because our Crate and Barrel chair that we got about a month ago was delivered with two tiny indentations on the arms and I refuse to accept a brand new piece of furniture that is damaged. I am also supposed to go to a sex toy party tomorrow but don't know if I will or not. I'm still not feeling 100% and don't know if I want to go. I've been to one before and they're really a hilarious fun time... we'll see. Plus, I have to admit you can purchase some pretty snazzy stuff. ;o)
I forgot to say that today school was delayed two hours due to snow so I got to sleep in~ yippee! But it's all melting now. Oh, and I only had 8 students to teach today because 13 just didn't come. That is insane! It made for a really quiet, weird day. I have never had so few students in my classroom for the day before!
