When I first started teaching (in a very urban area in LA) tons of kids used to stay home every time it *rained.* I mean come on, people, do you think you're going to melt? I even got excuse notes for absences that said, "Juana didn't come to school yesterday because it was raining." What? I'll agree that sometimes having only a few kids just makes things weird.

Glad you're feeling better, and enjoy that cocktail tonight (I might have one myself!).

I have to say, I admire the way you handled the issue with your in-laws. You took the high road and it will most definitely pay off in the long run. I can't really say that i would have done the same thing (it's that fiery east coast attitude I have!)

On a different note, I love Restoration Hardware paint. I used Silver Sage for my bedroom and I'm in love with that color. It's such a calm, peaceful color. The paint is really good too.
