again, i've got something to say
so do not even look at me that way
what i have to say is very true
so listen damnit, i will prove
that this is important for all to know
this is not something that is simply for show
it is something real, we all should do
so pay attention, all of you
when you hit, you leave a mark
you may not see it, but if your smart
you will know that you cannot always win
pain and hurt is not always left on skin
some words said can never be taken back
abuse is forever, memories will not lack
you can strike me, and hope i will learn
but all i will remember is how it burned
on top of my skin and underneath
somewhere deep, you are a theif
you steal from me a piece everytime
you lash at me, myself i can't find
thanks to you, love and pain are the same
please beat me, make me feel the shame
when i grow up i will get married
and they will beat me just a you did
call me names and say bad words
these are the things i have always heard
and no i won't forget what you believe
that i will learn not to be a theif
or whatever lesson you believe needs to be taught
peace and foregiveness is what i have saught
so keep your beliefs, continue what you do
i hope you get the same come back to you
and when it does, do not complain
you are learning all over again.
