My God, some people are so difficult to reach. They are stuck in a belief system that was taught to them by their parents, and their parents learned it from their parents, and generations of closed minded thinking continues on...Is what you learn from your parents solid anyway? If we all were so smart based on the experiences we have had growing up, then why do we have highter learning institutions, college degrees, and continueing education? If all we needed was experience, then we would not need any other learning opportunities. Listen, I know that experience is important, and that how we grew up, or history, can define us, but that can't be it. There is so much more to learn, so much more to try and understand. Your family, and it's belief system, is not the only was to operationalize things. To remain open-minded, to grow outside of what you have learned within you family system, to get out of the getto, is that not what life is all about, to strive to be whole, to see the world from all of its angles? Running up against others who are so rigid in their thinking, as if they have it all figured out, as if letting go of some control they have in their lives will be that catostrasphic, when in reality, their stubborness holds them back from learning and their potential to influence younger minds in positive ways. Alright, this is so difficult for some to understand, but your way may not be the best way, their may be a better way, better for all involved, then a way that only supports what you are after.
