〣 HOLO 〣 stand like a rock, on top of the mountain

Celeste murmured across the link to her sisters, peering down past the ledge in the middle of the room. Telepathy was so much easier than talking, and faster too. Not to mention the round metal walls echoed like crazy with more conventional conversation. Very disquieting, and quiet was so much nicer.

"It would appear," the Master hums idly, "that teleportation would in fact work. Funny that, don't you think?" He casts them an amused look.

The girls turn together, instantly fixing on the device sitting on its stand. They move over, none touching it just yet, simply staring down at the small projection. Mindee is the first to pick it up, turning it over a few times.

After a few moments of silent conference, Phoebe speaks up. "Of course teleporting works," she says, as if speaking to a mildly retarded child. "But whatever plan there is won't."

Celeste shrugs, half-apologetic. "Least it looks too high-tech for demons this time."

He laughs, because however odd they might be, he likely tops them. They know nothing, and the Master isn't sure he actually wants to tell them. "And how do you think you'll evade the grand, terrible plan?"

"Don't have to evade," they hum back at him. "They can't get into our heads, and anything else is futile." Diamonds are a girls' best friend, especially when you can turn into it with a thought.

Mindee tilts her head, appraising the hologram. "It's not your plan, though. Is it." Phoebe immediately sends them both a flash of disagreement, as he certainly sounds like the kind of villain the X-Teams end up against.

"It isn't we who are hiding." No, that would be their mutual captors. Godric, on the other hand, wasn't hiding at all. In fact, he was paying more attention to his tablet than usual, and found this one difficult to ignore.

By this point, the tablet's made it way into Celeste's hands, though the three are still standing around the pedestal they found it on. At the newest person to greet them, she noted he was kind of cute. Phoebe and Mindee rolled their eyes.

"Who's we?" they asked skeptically. Enough of the students from Xavier's had some experience with kidnappings/abductions, and the Cuckoos were no exception. "And if you're not hiding, where are you?"

"Everyone who was abducted before you." He gave that a brief moment to sink in before following up with, "I'm in the city, outside of the building you're in now. A set of stairs should have appeared now that you've taken the tablet. You're free to leave that room, but so far none have discovered how to leave Taxon."

Welcome, ladies. We hope you enjoy your stay.

Mindee turned an eye to her sisters. she thought with a small shrug.

Phoebe replied, pointing out the obvious.

Celeste shrugged. she concluded, inclining her head in their general direction.

"All right," they said together after finishing their silent debate. As they began to make their way out of the Sanctuary, only Mindee kept her eyes up while the other two watched Godric. "Who are you?" asked Phoebe.

It won't work was a refrain that sometimes echoed around the empty part of Glitch's head. If he was frightened, or more lost than usual, or just waking from a happily-forgotten nightmare, the last words of his former self would taunt him.

Hearing them from the tablet, accompanied by the hologram of three girls, gave him a start. He regarded the image warily. "Are you all right?"

Mindee had gotten the tablet back by now, and all three were walking through the halls of the Sanctuary. The other two were a short distance off, each looking into the various rooms.

"We're fine," they all chimed in for that, the stereo effect amplified by their voices echoing down the hall. "Minus the kidnapping, but it happens often enough."

Mindee looked down at the screen, intrigued by the zipper.

Celeste thought back. Phoebe gave a small snort.

"Oh!" Glitch exclaimed when they replied in unison, then his unease lifted and he grinned. "My, that's...that's neat, talking all at once like that. Um. It's not bad, far as kidnappings go. We can go where we like, we just can't leave the city."

Oh, the cells he'd been in and stories he could tell if he could remember them. Good times, good times.

Mindee's eyebrows rose, not exactly surprised at his reaction (they got their fair share at home) but more at the unexpected jump in decibels. They couldn't predict such things over these devices - people were so much easier to deal with when you could read their minds.

"Hm," they all hummed noncommittally. "Yes, it's much nicer than last time. Last time there were helmets. And demons." They drifted back together, frowns from all three at the memory. Cut off from each other by those metal traps, alone in the quiet of their own heads... Phoebe shook her head to snap them all out of it, and changed the subject.

"What's with the zipper?" The other two looked on interest, glowing blue-white eyes fixed on him. Sorry, Glitch, they're not big on manners.
