〣 HOLO 〣 stand like a rock, on top of the mountain

Celeste murmured across the link to her sisters, peering down past the ledge in the middle of the room. Telepathy was so much easier than talking, and faster too. Not to mention the round metal walls echoed like crazy with more conventional conversation. Very disquieting, and quiet was so much nicer.

"It would appear," the Master hums idly, "that teleportation would in fact work. Funny that, don't you think?" He casts them an amused look.

The girls turn together, instantly fixing on the device sitting on its stand. They move over, none touching it just yet, simply staring down at the small projection. Mindee is the first to pick it up, turning it over a few times.

After a few moments of silent conference, Phoebe speaks up. "Of course teleporting works," she says, as if speaking to a mildly retarded child. "But whatever plan there is won't."

Celeste shrugs, half-apologetic. "Least it looks too high-tech for demons this time."

He laughs, because however odd they might be, he likely tops them. They know nothing, and the Master isn't sure he actually wants to tell them. "And how do you think you'll evade the grand, terrible plan?"

"Don't have to evade," they hum back at him. "They can't get into our heads, and anything else is futile." Diamonds are a girls' best friend, especially when you can turn into it with a thought.

Mindee tilts her head, appraising the hologram. "It's not your plan, though. Is it." Phoebe immediately sends them both a flash of disagreement, as he certainly sounds like the kind of villain the X-Teams end up against.

"Maybe they can't get into your heads," he agrees offhandedly. He folds his hands before him and lifts his own head. "That doesn't mean other's can't." And suddenly he wants to track them down (as if it would be hard) and crack open their minds, just to prove a point. He's the Master, after all. Few can resist him. What makes them think that their heads are safe?

He doesn't even acknowledge their comment after plans. He doesn't care what they may or may not assume.

They all snort in unison, mild scorn on their faces. "Please." It's easy to see just whom this man means when he says 'others'. If he wants to try it, he's more than welcome - don't know how well it'd end for him. Of course, the Cuckoos have been known to overestimate themselves.

Mindee gives a small smile, because silence isn't nearly as big a stonewall as some might think. "Hm. Knew it."

"Stop preening," Phoebe retorted. "As if it wasn't obvious."
