How the other half live.

I have just been to an arts lecture. A theology lecture, to be precise, all down to the fact that I mentioned to Tessa that Anwar and I had been argueing about the ontological argument, and she happened to have a revision lecture on it this afternoon. So, she took me along with her - cue me questioning the unknown: will your lecturer notice that I've never been to any of his lectures before? What if he asks me a question? - and it was fascinating, it really was. Apparently that module (God, Freedom, and, err, something else) may not have any first year theology or philosophy prerequisites, so I could take it next year if I wanted. I'm tempted, very much so; it was so very interesting and different and I understood a lot more than I thought I would - at least, I won't say I understood, but it made sense. The arguments and the criticisms made sense, and someone else asked a question I was thinking of, and oh, it's so very different, and interesting, and thoughtful, and the funny thing is that really it's an awful lot like maths. The language is so very similar, and the logical construction of proofs, and it's amazing.

Other than that, today involved buying two Doctor Who DVDs - The Sontaran Experiment, and The Leisure Hive - for under £10. Fantastic. I won't watch them until after the exams, when I have also promised myself I can buy Inferno (Play.com has that very cheaply, too). So, I am happy with DW at the moment.

I am also so very tired that I think I could fall asleep if I lie down for a second - as usual, I planned an afternoon of catching up on the sleep that is lost during the week, and it didn't happen - and I'm unsure whether to give in and catnap before dinner and choir, or whether to keep going until I can collapse tonight. Tomorrow is Maths Revision Day and Ant is coming round at ten, so I must be up and dressed and hopefully awake and fed, too.

Theology and philosophy and epistomology vs. ontology. Wow. *g*
