I found out tonight that I am merely the third astronomer/tech on the mountain who has lost their tooth/teeth, in a similar circumstance. After 10 months of dodgy toothiness from the collision, I finally had it ripped out this morning. The good dentist was struggling valiently with it for a good three quarters of an hour, before he finally got it. I washed the bike yesterday, hence it was very wet on today's ride (1:20 up the dandenongs, as opposed to the usual route with the usual group towards King Lake). Before leaving at 0700, the radar told me about some light drizzle -- lightest colour on the display. Two bands, very very light.
