Genesis 27

We all know this story. Rebecca convinces Jacob to get a blessing by deceiving Isaac into thinking he was Esau.

The thing that strikes me the most here, always has, is that Jacob is still blessed. He's sneaky and deceitful yet God doesn't seem to penalize him for that, at least not right away. The Jewish Study Bible suggests there are ( Read more... )
