I just learned that blue tits and even great tits have nothing to do with female anatomy! These are birds' names. Of all things!

The city is awfully noisy. The noise becomes especially nagging after the quiet life in the country. Noise is all around, round the clock. Even at night - coming from the road. I wish we had a law of some kind, prohibiting the use of noisy engines. Sigh ( Read more... )

Now that summer has started and old ladies (babooshkas in Russian) pick them and sell them in the marketplace, I eat strawberries - a glass a day - and feel blessed. Mmmm, yummy!
