Years and years of French dictation exercises should have made me more cognisant that accents are a lot harder to understand when I can't also lip-read. Particularly heavy Glaswegian ones, oy. (Though he seemed to know that, since he was also the only person who spelled his name unprompted. *g*) So it's just as well that it was incredibly slow and I was pretty bored most of the day. Ah, well. Least I'll get paid for said boredom. And I never said "FACES" either, woo. I haven't worked there since 2001 but every so often, what pops out is *still* "Thank you for calling FACES, bonjour." *facepalm*
SO SO tired, though. I never sleep well before an interview/new job/other event to which not-routine punctuality is critical. So I didn't bother trying to go to bed as early as I might have, and had ridiculous difficulty both falling and staying asleep, and ended up scoring around two and a half hours. I'm vaguely surprised that with how bored I was, I never actually nodded off.
Best moment of the day was walking back from the bus stop. Four teenaged boys were hanging out in one of the grassy areas the path goes through, and one of the two that were sprawled in the grass had an mp3 player with speakers or something (I didn't exactly stop to check), and was singing along - rather offkey - to Wake Me Up When September Ends. Awww. ♥
Also, GIP. Now that
cookie2697 is caught up. :D
ETA: Forgot, also got a bank account yesterday, which went surprisingly smoothly. Now I can actually, like, get paid for working. lol
