Fruitcake Cookies

Fruitcake Cookies (Serendipity Cookies)
2 3/4 c flour
1 1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c butter
1 c mayonnaise
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
1/2 t salt
1/2 t baking soda
2 c raisins, chopped
1 1/2 c chopped pecans
1/2 to 3/4 c maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
Preheat oven to 350. Cream brown sugar and butter. Add mayonnaise, eggs, and vanilla; blend. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in raisins, pecans, and maraschino cherries. Drop onto cookie sheets by teaspoonfuls. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Be careful not to overbake.
