I lost two cats, three weeks apart.  I wish you well, Neko and Mau.
I got a kitten, Mogget, to keep Malkin company.
A friend of mine lost her fiancee.
Another friend of mine lost his uncle.

A brief rundown.
1) My sister's made a post.
2)  I had to put one of my cats down three weeks ago.
3)  I'm having to possibly put one of my cats down tomorrow.
4)  Our roomie gave us two month's notice he's moving to Toronto.
5)  We utterly failed to get a new roomie.
6)  Ergo, we're moving.  With three weeks to pack.

So, I finally told Cat what's bothering me. She's been very upset about Neko peeing on the floor in front of the door. I knew why she was doing it, but I tried to see if I could get her to stop. So, our roomie's moving out in September.  This was dropped on us rather suddenly, and we're trying drastically to scramble and salvage what we can.  What this means is Cat needs to pack up the spare bedroom so we can have the person move in upstairs instead of the basement, we're going to need to have our roomie empty the basement area so we can ( Read more... )

My sister decided to make a post discussing using Teamspeak, and the challenges she faced.

A discussion about the poor (people on Welfare or Social Assistance).  I've seen people complain about these people living 'above their means', and I have to wonder - what does this mean?  For example, if you're on welfare, is it considered 'living above your means' if you have the following?
1)  A flatscreen TV.
2)  1 or more computers.
