Kitten update
I've just spoken to the vet again, Mara has been in for a few days. She has had a change of tubes so now she has a tap in her tummy. This means that she can wee normally herself but if she is having a problem we can intervene and drain her bladder. I was very concerned about this earlier but having spoken to Jon I am less so. It's obviously going to be a lot of hassle but she is a bright and beautiful kitten and I refuse to let her die when she can still live a full life. Just means that when we go away we'll have to either find someone who is willing to drain her or book her into a kitty hotel. Not a major problem at all. She is wearing a vest to cover all the bits for now so she has no cone any more either. I've suggested a couple of things to him and he thinks we may try the flesh tunnelling plan. No different from your ear the plan is to stretch the restriction that is causing the problem. The prognosis is good but the road will be a long one.
