(no subject)
To quickly squeak in an update before midnight in the midst of the gaping hole in my posting calendar for January (really, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays?), I've more or less finished my fellowship application. I'll proofread it, wrangle it into one word document, and send it off tomorrow. It may take quite some wrangling, but after rebuilding the letter of recommendation form to separate it from the rest of the application file, I'm confident I can do it. And did I mention done? SO MUCH WORK. But done.
I also baked a delicious batch of pumpkin-spice muffins with chocolate chips this evening. Multiple thumbs up. They are awesome unto making up for the fact that I forgot to get a lot of what I actually went to the grocery store today to get, namely shampoo and conditioner. But now, muffins.
Finally, my parcel arrived from home with all the stuff I couldn't bring back to Boston with me after the holidays because of the new carry-on restrictions. I have my backpack again! Like I said to Jill, only having my little computer bag really restricted the amount of work I could bring home, but unfortunately, it also restricted the amount of food I could carry. Here's to returning to my normal levels of pedestrian-commuter cargo.
