Got some gooooood stuff this year.

• From my bb, a new purse.
• And a shiny pretty hair clip that HOLDS MY HAIR WONDERFULLY holy cow.
• Various gift cards, to places like Half-Price Books, Target, and other nice places.
• Bookmarks, including one that looks like an Oriental rug.  Cute.
• Nice comfy winter pajamas that are so very nice and warm.

SQUEEEEEEEEE!

And they were two of the ones I'd most wanted to have too!  Oh Half-Price Books, what would I do without you?

Ordered some back issues for myself off Amazon earlier this week.  One came yesterday and two came today.

I am now in my happy place of squee.  WHERE EVERYTHING IS WONDERFUL AND NOTHING HURTS.

First off let me take a minute to signal boost womenlovefest and their week-long lovefest for fictional ladies.  Couldn't get a request in for Starfire before they closed but it's still something I'm going to try to participate in and/or watch.

Visited Half-Price Books Wednesday and made a beeline for the comics section.  They had a small little side shelf section for "Kids comics" and I immediately spotted an issue of The Batman Strikes that I didn't have and got really excited.  Then got even more excited when I also found TWO BACK-ISSUES OF TEEN ( Read more... )

Okay, I admit. I caved.

Been hearing such positive buzz about the pilot that my curiosity was piqued and you know when that happens I just HAVE to look at things.

(Plus they have Miss Martian. And she's adorable and I love her.)

SO! I will be jotting down some thoughts on Episode One and Two, the two-part pilot "Independence Day"
