Fantastic Four
Trying to get caught up on some of my DVD rentals today, so I can rent the last two discs of 24: Season 4 this week. The ones with the finale and the season 5 preview.
First movie watched today is Fantastic Four. Just a few thoughts and I'd say only one minor spoiler within.
Fantastic Four: I enjoyed this much more than I'd expected to. Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm were my favorites in the film. They had an amusing relationship. The Thing looked a hell of a lot better in the movie than the impression I got from the commercials and pre-release photos. I was happy to see that Julian McMahon didn't don the mask until late in the film so we could see his charming face through most of his scenes. The stretchiness of Reed Richards was also done well, in my opinion.
Total popcorn movie, but I was entertained and that's about all I asked for with this one. I've never been a Jessica Alba fan - at all - but she didn't bug me in this like I expected she would. (Come to think of it, she didn't bother me in Sin City, either. Huh. I find that to be a disturbing trend.)
