Trying to get caught up on some of my DVD rentals today, so I can rent the last two discs of 24: Season 4 this week. The ones with the finale and the season 5 preview.

First movie watched today is Fantastic Four. Just a few thoughts and I'd say only one minor spoiler within.

Sin City started a very disturbing trend for me in that I now *gulp* like Jessica Alba. I've actually watched most of her movies. I dunno, she's not a great actress by any stretch of the imagination, but she has an affability about her that I like, I can't help.

I agree with your assessment of the film, total popcorn flicka and I enjoyed it.

Well, at least you're disturbed by the trend. ;)

I can't think of anything else I've seen her in other than the few eps of Dark Angel I watched. Oh, and Idle Hands. I do have to admit that she's improved quite a bit since then. (And it really does pain me to say that.)

I noticed before that you're a fan of Sin City, right? I really liked it, myself, but I have a friend who has such seething hatred for the film, I plan to spend the rest of my life avoiding ever mentioning I've seen it, let alone liked it.

I don't have a lot of deep thoughts on the movie right now, but I did find it visually stunning and plan to see it again. I'll probably rent the extended unrated director's cut sometime.
