Lots has been up where to start?
I fulfilled my civic duty this week and went to the town meeting so that I could vote for them to start the process going for getting 2 new schools built in my town. With any luck they could be mostly finished by the time Jacob gets there. The current schools are in horrible shape and are way over capacity.
As I sat there in the school gymnasium hoping the vote would happen soon I looked around and saw many of the same old devices they had when I was growing up. There were the ropes to climb, and that awful tape measure on the wall to record how high you could jump. I dreaded that thing because when you are already starting 12 inches shorter than everyone else of course you won't get very high. I would overcompensate by staying on the chin-up bar until I'd done damage to my arms just so that I could be best at something. I also would climb all the way to the ceiling on that damn rope. It was a good night, the vote passed and that means that it will be on the official ballot next week. what a process.
In other news, Jacob is 5 months and has been starting to sit with very little help. We've posted some new pics here
He's been making lots of cute noises, so far "Ta" is his favorite. I suppose if you have to wake up at 5am, thats quite possibly the best sounding alarm clock ever. He really is getting huge, his arms and legs are like overstuffed sausages.
We went to visit his new friend Tristan today, he's 10 days old!. Some of you know my best gal Mimi, this is her first baby and she did it all natural, no drugs. In fact, she was driving around shuffling cars a mere hours before he came into the world. She's quite a trooper.
Next to Tristan Jacob really does look like the staypuff marshmallow man.
