Feeling Random

I dragged my friend Denise to see the Hunger Games on Friday night. I loved it. She did not. I feel a bit guilty for begging her to go but at the same time it was fun to hang out and actually get out of the house with a friend. Plus, you know, movie. I LOVE going to the movies. There's something about sitting in a packed theater with the expectant hush before the opening scene ... it's magic.

The crowd was pretty cool too. They all cheered at the end of the movie :D Fan participation is fun. The concession girl who sold me my candy squeed when she saw my Hunger Games t-shirt and said she'd bought the same one the day it came out at Hot Topic. Heh. The movie was great, btw, probably one of the truest movie adaptions I've ever seen. The Last Unicorn comes in a close second, believe it or not.

Not long ago I learned there is such a thing as a Harry Potter Snuggie. I now crave one. Which disturbs me a lot, lol.

I'm feeling random, can you tell?

Right now, at this exact moment, there's a Doctor Who fan convention going on in Cardiff, Wales. I'm rather sad I'm not there. Yes, I obsess well.

I bought a little MacBook Air computer last week to take on the train and do my writing. I love it. I've named it Zephyr (renaming my Kindle Fire Calcifer as a consequence). What can I say, I'm a geek. I'm doing pretty good so far on the story - I've got 22,000 words in the new version and wading through the old one pulling out sections, revising, etc.

I haven't signed up for a new craft swap on Craftster in a month. My resolve is holding, heh. I just have two swaps open still and finished one of those out tonight. I put a bunch of paint on canvas tonight for the other one and need to go get some platypus pics for reference. Eh, just wait, you'll understand later when I post pics :D
