Hedgehog Antics
Hedgies are amazing little creatures. Sure they are cute and adorable and I'm an utter fool for them, but did you know those little suckers can run up to five miles a night? It's true. So an exercise wheel is a hedgie's best friend. They run EVERY night. They love their wheels. They're obsessed with their wheels. And if you take away a hedgie's wheel, oh say to clean it because after all they are small animals and therefor do disgusting things while they run, they get pissed.
I walked into Cassidy's room last night to find Percy HANGING from the top of the cage by his little paws glaring malevolently at me. Apparently he was so bored without his wheel that he was literally climbing the walls. Needless to say I quickly returned the wheel. No need for a pissed off hedgie, I much prefer him when he's willing to rub noses and get chin scritches.
