World Book Night
I stumbled across a very awesome idea/site recently. It's called World Book Night and is a collaboration with publishers around the world. On April 23, 2012, people in the US, UK and Ireland will give away tens of thousands of books to complete strangers. The idea is to encourage reading and put books into the hands of reluctant or infrequent readers. And the book list is AWESOME! There are 30 titles that are being given away by publishers.
I signed up to be a volunteer and if chosen I'll receive 20 books to distribute. I chose The Book Thief as my book to hand out because I just adore that book and it's one of my all time favorites. You guys know how much I love books, lol, so the idea of getting to hand out free books (that rock) is so exciting. Eeeee! I can't wait.
