Just another brick in the wall.....
I knew it. I knew better. I saw the red flags going up EVERYWHERE! Did I heed the warnings? Nah, I was having too much fun. Now look what happened. Oh whoops, I forgot to mention what my most favorite person in the world has now done. Nick is no longer my date to my work Christmas party. That's right folks. In typical Nicholas Everad Wilde fashion, he has again, only thought of himself, and left me high and dry. Oh weird....conversation (via texts) as follows:
Me: Hey r u still gonna go 2 my party w me next thursday?
Nick: Sry I think I have to work
Me: So u were just gonna back out on my and not even tell me?
Nick: Sry I forgot
Me: Thanks Nick I'm sure someone could cover ur shift however I think u just don't wanna go. I appreciate that friend
Nick: Calm down hippy lol
Me: (in shock that he has the balls to say lol cuz I'm soooooooo laughing out loud at this point) Fine then don't be a dick and back out on me
No reply. I text him again bout an hour later
Me: I need 2 know if ur gonna try 2 get off work and go w me or if I need 2 find someone else.
Nick: Try to find someone else I'm sry I really need money (please take into account here that on a good nite, he'll make about $30-50 in tips. He's a valet. Considering it's a Thursday nite, he'll probably make $7, if he's lucky)
Me: U never should said yes in the 1st place. I didn't think u would ditch me but it's cool. I see how it is
Nick: Calm down hippy
I took about 45 minutes to think of something to say back to him. And I was upset and talked to Mike and Telle in that time
Me: It's cool that u don't wanna go but u coulda told me. U shouldn't be such a dick 2 me all the time. I don't know why u r anyway.
(this is where it gets good. ready? pay attention to what he says)

Me: Sooo ur not a dick 2 me all the time? Weird
Nick: Dude whatever
Me: Ok Nick calm down hippy

Me: That's new good job. Just think before u tell someone you'll do something. I mean damn

Me: Right. U have 2 find me a date then. 2 bad ur gonna miss out on full open bar 4 $7. jerk
And that was the end of it. I have a cyclical love/hate relationship with that kid. It's cycling back to the hate installment right now. It'll probably last for about 2-3 weeks. It's pretty much my fault for letting this happen. I asked him to go when we were on a good cycle, which lasted for a good month or so. Now that we've cycled back to hate, I should've just assumed he would back out and asked someone else. I'm so dumb. I let my guard down. Just like I swore I wouldn't. He was being nice, we were hanging out and everythinig was really kosher for about a while. Then the Krystelle thing happened, and it's all been downhill ever since. He's really not worth my time or effort and really I shouldn't even consider him my friend. Cuz what's he ever done for me as a friend? Pretty much nothin. I do things for him all the time, and I don't expect anything in return. I bought his army stuff for the party. I always make sure he's taken care of when he's drunk, I drive him around (sometimes)... I never expect anything from him ever. Except when he tells me he'll do something, I do expect him to follow thru. Not really sure why. I really didn't think he would do this to me. But whatever. It hurts my feelings more than anything because I thought we had gotten past all this. We talk and he tells me things and I thought we were on a higher level than this. Bottomline: we're supposed to be friends. Maybe friends with benefits, but friends first. I think he's just so enthralled by creating drama and making girls hate him, that he can't differentiate between real friends and real hoes. Everything told me to be careful, watch out, don't get too close, dont' let him in. My bad. I went against my gut, just like I knew I shouldn't, and I got burned. Hello?
