Quick update
Feels like ages since I've posted on here! I don't have long, so this update will be quick, I just need to share the news. Got the scripts and casting list today-
I am playing the Banshee in next semester's production of Hansel and Gretel.
The 'witch' character in the play has several different forms, and the second Banshee form is the one which comes out at the end after her real nature is revealed. It is not a very large part, but it is a significant one. Since this character is only needed at the end of the play, I'll be doing chorusy stuff until that point.
Chelsea (
forever_dazzled ) is going to be the first Banshee, the one that comes out of the beginning when she is released from the volcano/hell thing. We were all suprised that the Secret Garden kids got the smaller roles- so the newbies can get more experience, we assume. You'd think it would be the other way around...
Porter and Annie are leading, of course, as Hansel and Gretel. They'll be awesome. They'll all be awesome. The script is great, it's a fantastic story. This play will rule.
(I'm a little miffed that I didn't get a bigger part- simply because I do not want to spend all my time in the chorus with 'those people'. You know, those people.)
