Damn geese got in my way again. Same spot as about a month ago, only this time there were only 5 and they were all adults. They looked more offended than scared at my approach and took their sweet time getting off the road. I pay attention when I come around that particular bend; I'm sure a few geese are missing because people who travel that road less frequently aren't expecting them.
I need to get a handle on this whole "sleep at night" concept. I expected to have sleeping issues on Sunday night, perhaps even Monday night. Last night was another 4 hour night for sleep, which I'm sure is just not healthy. I was very tired at 6pm, and probably should have just called it a night at that point. Instead I went to the bookstore (picked up the new Sister Hazel album, finally got Excalibur on dvd, and found the two-volume
grrm "Dreamsongs" anthology in hardcover on the bargain racks for $6 each. (Sorry, George, if you're reading this -- but at least there are two remaindered copies of each volume that you know aren't going to a landfill someplace!)) and to Target to get some better bathroom cleaning supplies.
I noticed that Target, like Wal-Mart, seems to have worked out a special deal with certain television producers to offer season sets at reduced prices. At Wal-Mart, it's FOX (that's where I got a combo-pack of seasons 1 and 2 of Arrested Development for half of what they would cost individually, and I saw X-Files and a few older classic shows as well). And Target it seems to be ... Warner Bros / CW? They have combo packs of Reba, Buffy, and Angel that I recall, plus I Love Lucy and a few other classic shows. I may have to check back at Target next week after payday and see if they still have the Angel combo packs -- it was only seasons 1-2 and 3-4, so not the season with Spike, but it might be worth picking them up at those prices.
