12:45 Found a cobbler at about Preston/Royal. Going to drop my boots off over lunch. Crossing fingers they'll be affordable and done by ConDFW.

14:49 Cobbler's work will be more expensive than I wanted, but the boots will be ready on time and really, I'm getting off cheap in the long run.

11:09 Installing Windows XP on the new computer now. Hopefully it won't take ALL day to patch it into functionality.
