Lawrence of Arabia Recs
Recently, my friend found a Lawrence of Arabia fanvid which threw me back into wanting to watch the movie again. So I did. Now I’m high off of LoA fumes and have been ripping the internet apart for more non-yuletide fics and recs, and here they are! Okay, well, all of the are Lawrence/Ali, but you cannot deny their epic love for each other. (They are the LoA equivalent of Laurence/Tharkay, I swear. CROSSOVER, PLZ?) Even the gen fanvids I found could have been implied as Lawrence/Ali. >__>;
This one’s a fairly cute gen vid, and one of the best ones out there, in my opinion. The music goes surprisingly well, “All the Things I’ve Done” by The Killers. Plus, Lawrence and Ali making eyes at each other is always a bonus. (1:30-37, And my affection / it comes and goes… LOL.)
A charming French song by Jeanne Cherhal. "Voilà" is awesomely catchy and the vid maker’s visual timing to the music is impeccable. No fancy effects needed. Though it isn’t stated, I am convinced it’s Lawrence/Ali. ARGH, the ending makes me sad though. He’s looking for Ali, I know it. ;__; This is my mostest favoritest LoA fanvid ever.

Okay, this fanvid isn’t much of a rec, but more for sharing purposes for the sheer sake of hilarity. THIS IS THE GAYEST THING EVER. It’s even more funny because it wasn’t meant to be slashy, I think, but if you have Lawrence and Ali in the same footage with “Who Wants to Live Forever” by Queen playing in the background, all that’s left to do is add the rainbows and grassy knolls and you can have Lawrence and Ali holding hands skipping through them.
BONUS: There is an intro snippet with Lawrence saying the line that always cracks me up. “NONE OF MY FRIENDS IS A MURDERER. >:CCCCC “ And then Ali owns him by ganking his compass, LMFAO. LAWRENCE, YOU FAIL SO ADORABLY.
And just because I can, here is Ali being all sappy and loving and then tucking Lawrence in to bed. D'AAAAAAAAWWWWWW. (AND THEN HE THROWS ALL OF LAWRENCE'S CLOTHES INTO THE CAMPFIRE. THAT IS ROMANTIC.)

AND YEAH. THAT IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING BESIDES WRITING CRACKISH FIC. Now I am adding LoA to my list of Temeraire crossovers I want to bring into existence. I do not think it is a coincidence that both Law/Lau-rences are English, blond, and have foreign boyfriends, even though their personalities are total opposites. Well, and I think it's easy to draw in other parallels as well, such as the war and their situations, but I will shut up now before I geek out too much.
