The Dream Lord was totally the Master. He's supposed to be the "dark" side of the Doctor himself... so, yeah. Internalized!Master was what I was thinking. LOL
I really prefer the Dreamlord being the Master to the explanation they give me at the end of the episode, which is - it's just the dark side of the Doctor. Booooooring.
Ah, yes. The Valeyard, I knew there was something familiar about him. The whole space-pollen-making-my-subconscious-speak is rather ridiculous, though. LOL
Heh, well, more Valeyard. Which is what they call the personification of the Doctor's dark side, in Who canon. Whatever he was, though, I like the idea of the Doctor thinking it was the Master.
In my canon, I think he was probably dying and/or she got the information in some other way than marriage. Which, well, chatting up a smashed Doctor would count as the latter >_>
Yessss, I am. Sigh. There was a Moffat fan at the party this evening, and I was going "Woo, I can has fangirl fight!" but she turned out to be reasonable. Though not a Simm fan. Horrors!
Also, she'd seen Tennant in Pillowman. Gah, envy. That's a production I would love to have seen, for both actors and script.
The fangirl thing crept up on me. This episode sealed me realizing that, yes, I really am a ridiculous fan now. Getting all excited by possible Master!hints that weren't even Master!hints.
And a slasher. These days, I forget that this is not a standard thought-frame for most people watching television.

OMG, yes! I have to remind myself of that constantly. If I talk to my students about DW or Merlin or Stargate or whathaveit I am always this close to saying something along the lines of "How cute is the epic lovestory of Doctor/Arthur/Rodney and Master/Merlin/John." Which, I think would blow their heads off. LOL
