The Dream Lord was totally the Master. He's supposed to be the "dark" side of the Doctor himself... so, yeah. Internalized!Master was what I was thinking. LOL
I really prefer the Dreamlord being the Master to the explanation they give me at the end of the episode, which is - it's just the dark side of the Doctor. Booooooring.
Ah, yes. The Valeyard, I knew there was something familiar about him. The whole space-pollen-making-my-subconscious-speak is rather ridiculous, though. LOL
Heh, well, more Valeyard. Which is what they call the personification of the Doctor's dark side, in Who canon. Whatever he was, though, I like the idea of the Doctor thinking it was the Master.
I like the idea of the Doctor thinking it was the Master. I like that much much better than the episode explanation. I think I will just change my personal canon to make it so. I am a Dreamlord too! \o/ LOL
Well, both could be true. He thought it was the Master; then they got out of the domestic dream world and he remembered the sparkly pollen and the fact that this world seems like a dream as well, and went, "Oh. I get it now.".
This is what I think happened, because he did keep going on about how they needed to choose a reality, and if he'd known that both worlds are dreams, he'd have just told Amy and Rory and cut the whole experiment short much earlier.

Or in Rory. Because that would be *ridiculous.*

That actually makes sense!

That's the only way it makes sense to me, anyway.
