Trying to evolve.

Ugh, cold. I wish the weather would decide if it's Spring yet. There were a couple days of wonderful warm weather (yay alliteration!) and now it's down in the 30's again. It may be colder, even. Ridiculous.

Today was a really good day. I woke up next to a man who is fast becoming my favorite person. There was snuggling, and smoking, and then Chinese food with Rob and Kayla. I like Rob a lot, he's really laid back and friendly. Kayla and I discovered we have more in common than we realized, and we shared some laughs. On the way to the restaurant it occurred to me that it would be really fun to take dance classes with Jason, so that has been added to the List (of things we should do together).

After food, I met up with Courtney and Nathan and we took her Jeep to Asheville for the Ani Difranco concert. Of course, we got there like four hours early, so we dicked around in the mall and then at Michael's. I have a new hat now. It's a green Guinness hat with a bottle opener in the bill. It's pretty rad, I like it a lot for some reason. It doesn't matter that I don't drink Guinness! Or, I guess I've never tried it... I picked up a craft kit at Michael's. Two, actually. They're for making little wooden animals. I got one for a spider, and one for a wolf. There are pre-cut pieces in the wood that you pop out, sand down, and put together. They were super cheap and looked fun. Why not? :) At Hot Topic I picked up a pair of super bright rainbow knee socks. Hells yeah.

The concert was really good. A guy named Chad Stokes opened for her. He's from a band called State Radio, and he sang and played the git-fiddle. Really catchy chord progressions and folksy music; I liked him. I got his CD, actually. Ani was way tinier than I thought she'd be, but that just made her adorable. I've never seen anyone play the guitar like she does. It was fucking incredible. She had fantastic stage presence, and actually had me bouncing and dancing a little. Awesome. After the set, the crowd yelled until she came back out and played two more songs. I ended up getting an Ani t-shirt. Gotta love that lady.

Anyway, Courtney has terrible night vision. So on the way back, even though I was so groggy I was drifting off constantly, I was too tense to sleep. Now, though, I'm in bed, and I'm going to pass the fuck out.

things to remember, the list, good days
