No matter what the application/submission is for, a frank and honest rejection letter would be so much more helpful to the applicant/submitter than that stupid polite bullshit. I've been applying for jobs for months now and have gotten several rejection emails (from the companies that actually decided to inform me I wasn't hired)-- and it would be a very big help to me if they actually explained to me why I didn't meet their standards... because I have obviously been doing something wrong.

I've had similar issues with applying for jobs in the past.
(I noticed making my resume as pompous as I could get away with seemed to help me for some reason, or it could have just been coincidental..)
