I don't like it when people are too polite. Did you really enjoy reading my work? If you don't want to use what I sent you, do you really want me to send you more in the future? I think not.
I'd love to get a rejection letter that says "we think your work sucks". It'd be terribly amusing.
Their email was also titled 'TPM', saying nothing about submissions, and meaning, of course, The Pedestal Magazine. But one might almost fancy it means toilet paper something. Feel free to come up with suggestions for the "m".
Also, "best"? Best what? Best wishes, best of luck, best not put pen to paper again? So many mysteries.
