This cold has been ridiculous, but I think I'm going to assume that after a week I'm past the infectious stage, and go back to work.
Looking at all my pictures would take a while. I've uploaded a lot of pictures. (But thank you for your interest! ) The iris shots are just the kind of shots digicam #2 can't take, since it doesn't have macro focus. (I'd thought its 10x zoom would suffice, but it doesn't.) The snow shots are from my office park.
I'm guessing the chalice-like object was 2007/Jan/01? That's the hub from the rear wheel of my bike. (Flanges with the holes for the spokes; the sprocket cluster slides onto the larger cylindrical part, and the freewheel is inside that. Hmmm, didn't find anything in my LJ about replacing that hub.) It was a lot dirtier when it came off the bike. I think the freewheel broke, so I needed to buy another hub (found a used one cheap at a local bike shop) and rebuild the wheel on it (take off the tire/tube, remove all the spokes from the old rim/hub, reassemble everything around the new hub, and true the wheel (balance the spoke tension so the wheel is perpendicular to and centered on the axle)).
