I haven't posted much the past couple of weeks. We adopted a darling cat, Zahara, from
boadiccea a couple of weeks ago. I wouldn't say our other 2 cats (Erica and Mel) are chummy with her yet, but most of the hissing is over, and I've even seen Erica touch noses with Zahara. But Zahara is not terribly keen about having a large, bouncy standard poodle around. James is just as curious about her as she is about everything else in the house. But she seems to have figured out when James is asleep/quiet, and she does more exploring then. And there's plenty of areas in the house where Jamie either isn't allowed or can't reach, so Z knows where she can be away from him.
I did get all my old (digital) pictures uploaded on
Atpic.com. (That's what's really kept me busy.) The newest pictures (which were never uploaded to the old album site) have titles, descriptions, and tags, and I'll be working back through the galleries to add metadata to older pictures. The
tags allow selecting by subject, content, location, time, and anything else I might come up with. I'll be going through my collection of icons to point the links at pictures on Atpic instead of albums at
NetSnapShot. (Zahara's pic above is the first icon pointed at the new site.)
I've been home all this past week with a wicked cold. It started with a sore throat Sunday night, and Monday was a holiday. I wasn't any better Tuesday, but it didn't pass through the usual stages as quickly as most colds, and the runny nose/congestion didn't develop until Thursday night. Friday was ugly, and today the congestion seems to be breaking up. It's been a long time since I've taken a whole week off for sickness, but this could take out the rest of the department. I have been getting a lot more sleep.
anniemal was very sick last Saturday, and while it doesn't seem to have hit me as hard, it's staying with me longer. Erica, Mel, and James were sneezing or coughing at various points too, but they must have their rhinoviruses.
