The Tar Plains next show: Ground Kontrol video arcade on Thursday (7/17)! Plus bonus video....
Since some folks were wondering about when The Tar Plains are going to play next, our upcoming show is happening on Thursday, July 17th, at Ground Kontrol video arcade! The show is $5, and we're playing with Genre? and Circuit City (I just checked out the music of these bands, and I think the evening will be full of synthy goodness!). The show begins around 9 p.m.
Holy cow. We are excited about playing a show at an arcade. This will be a great live experience for us, as we want our future live exploits to include a variety of venues, including all-ages pizza parlors, coffee houses, house parties, class reunions, Bat Mitzvahs, and 80s parties. Hopefully the video arcade experience will be plenty of fun.
In tribute to our next show, we'll be performing a cover of Buckner & Garcia's hit classic (from 1982), "Pac-Man Fever". We recorded a practice video last night. We're still rough, but we hope to be more polished by this Thursday evening. Welcome to even more ridonkukousness!
