The Tar Plains Show Aftermath: Exhaustion 2008

The Tar Plains show last night (at the Ash Street Saloon) was plenty of fun. I definitely feel that it was the best performance that I have ever put on. The turnout was pretty good, and I am grateful for all the support. Threeexplodingboys and LOOKBOOK also played awesome and compelling sets (I loved the former band's medley of "Three Imaginary Boys"/"The Chauffeur"--that was awesome!). Good times.

And special thanks to outfcheeseerror for stealthily procuring the Vegan Chocolate and Berries Cake for the surprise pre-birthday ambush for troymercy. And big thanks to Michelle for singing the cover of Altered Images' "Happy Birthday"! It was a fun night!

I am starting to suspect that the unofficial slogan for The Tar Plains Summer 2008 Beyond Ridonkulous tour (of the various clubs and bars in Portland) is going to be, "I've got the brains, you've got the looks, let's get lots of drink tickets".... ;o
