Wow, time has been going quickly.  Monday will be 2 weeks I have been home from work.  Next doctor appt to re-assess is Tuesday.  This past Tuesday the doctor recommended PT, but I haven't gotten to start yet because of all the communication that had to happen between the doc and the PT and my employer and my employer's insurance company to make ( Read more... )

The new job I started in May has been fascinating so far. It is just what I wanted in terms of very present-tense, in the moment work. It is very demanding while I'm there, but I don't carry stress home with me. I like the people I work with a lot. Went to the memorial service for Marge today. She was taken off life support and died last Thursday. There wasn't really any other option.

It was amazing to hear everyone talk about her.  It's stange how powerful a gift it can be, hearing all the stories told at the end of someone's life.  One of the things that stuck with me the most was this ( Read more... )

Visited a client in the hospital today. I've written about her before. She has pneumonia now, probably has had it for a while but didn't go to the hospital til she lost consciousness at a friend's house.
