Get on his bad side and forget it.
You’re completely fucked.
Hikaru Sulu. Mister Stoic Serious Detached Emotionless Sulu.
Well that’s how everyone sees him… except Kallen.
“He’s not as tough and emotionless as he makes himself out to be,” Kallen shares with a coworker, Meryl. They both met each other through the job and they talk as if they’ve been best friends for years.
“That’s only because you got him wrapped around your finger,” Meryl laughs, before sipping her coffee.
“That’s far from true,” Kallen retorts. Sometimes she thinks… it’s the only way around.
It’s really strange how one look from him across the conference table can make her heated, wanting to drag him out of the meeting right then and there and lock them in her office.
Hikaru likes to stay in control. It’s his job. That’s how he’s able to get the reports in on time, get raises, and be the best worker in the office. Well… he shares that spot with Kallen.
But when the two of them are home, another side of him comes out that no one else is able to see. It’s behind the closed doors of the apartment they share.
Late nights when he’s able to let go and not bring his work environment home, he cooks for her. (Believe Kallen, he’s a damn good chef.) He’ll light candles; set the mood, the lights low, music just right. And for the moment, they forget about their sex driven lives. One would think that the night would end in lust filled desires. Actually, the opposite happens.
He’ll lead her on a path of rose petals where he’s prepared the bath for them. They sit, wash each other, talk, wind down, and just forget about the day. It’s the few times they’re able to be engrossed in each other’s presence outside of locking lips and passion.
The night is nothing but soft kisses and cuddles, intimate in its own way. The few times if the tension does run high enough, they’ll make love. Yes, there was a difference. This was so much different, calmer than the pushing against doors and slamming onto desks. Hikaru was gentle, sincere, and all those things any woman wishes a man would be.
It didn’t matter that eight am the next morning it was as if nothing happen the night before. But Kallen knew; Kallen knew the true side of Hikaru Sulu and that’s all that mattered to her.
