[creative] Moonshadow

It wasn't always like this. Alex lived a safe life, by his standards, once upon a time. He and the members of the Dogs of War ruled the streets. They were feared far and wide within the Bloodlands. They had their hands in every deal, every skirmish, every negotiation that went down on the streets. Things were simpler back then.
Even when the Foundation came into the picture they still ran the show. No one stood in their way. Then they got mixed into the affairs of the Mainland. Soon after that they fell apart. They were beaten and scattered. The worst part about it? They were powerless.
Alex reached the heart of the old resort, now abandoned and falling into ruin. the winter was firmly upon him. The snow was getting higher and higher each day. For some reason the resort had snowshoes he could use. Luck him.
The place was absolutely frigid. He hiked his way up to his room and shed his soaking clothes. It wouldn't be long before they were on him again. He had a few days to get himself in order and wait the weather out. After that he would be on the run again.
As he sat on the edge of the ragged hotel bed he became aware of the woman. "Alex. Or should I call you Moonshadow?"
"Moonshadow is fine," he replied. He remembered this woman. The one named Derek had asked the Dogs to hunt this woman down and kidnap her. "Lady Belle..."
"Alex it is," she said. "You don't seem surprised to see me."
"I'm not," he replied coolly. He knew she had the ability to find people. She was one hell of a nuisance.
"Do you know why I'm here at least?" She batted her eyelashes like a naive child.
"No. Don't care either."
"Trust me, I believe you will." She reached her hand out as if to shake hands. "I know the circumstances that have befallen you Moonbiter. I also know how to reverse it."
Alex turned and looked at her. She stood completely still, her ragged, dirty blond hair fell just before her shoulders. She looked like a mess, but he could see the demon in her. She was out for herself. Without a doubt. He couldn't quite place it, but he knew she was up to something. "What do you get out of it?"
"A favor to be named later. Simple and easy, I promise." She looked like a mischievous child.
He sighed. "Do it," he muttered.
The time of mischief was over. Now she was plotting. The devil's plot was in motion.
