Wow, what an ending! It took me by all kinds of surprise, not least of which because I really didn't have a good grasp of what this story's length was supposed to be and had no idea the ending would be coming so soon. Eerian said it right - whiplash! When Starscream's abrasive voice entered into the picture without warning, so suddenly, I froze as much as the the other two characters. And that was all it took, the entrance of that one last missing character, before everything tumbled into place.

That Skyfire actually knew, deep down, is something I probably should have guessed. He's too smart, and knew Starscream for too long, to be fooled by mere battle damage and a broken vocalizer. But that he intentionally took Skywarp and had planned for this little domestic roleplay really did come as a shock. Starscream's unexpected arrival fractured his careful fantasies, and everything came crashing down like a broken glass palace. Starscream was so wonderfully himself: sharp, caustic, loyal to his own wingmate even if he is completely dismissive of his intelligence, and with a touch of old kindness toward his former partner. But poor Skyfire. Though it had been hinted at in the first chapters, something about the way he kept babbling and repeating himself really made the illness so obvious. He was so desperate, and it made my heart break.

In a way it was something of a relief that Starscream could diagnose an actual physical cause for Skyfire's mental breakdown, even though it was so sad. Maybe Skyfire will get help and maybe he won't, but I have a feeling that tonight he'll fly out into the wilderness and break down into a good old-fashioned sobbing. It might have been false, and inevitably short-lived, but for a while he had his temporary fix and it made him happy. It was more than just having Starscream back - it was about repairing what they'd both lost, rebuilding a peaceful world in which the two of them are just happy partners and lovers without the weight of civil war crushing them both. Anybody would want to recreate that - it's just a matter of being mentally ill enough to try. I feel sorrier for Skyfire than I do Skywarp in this one. It's a terrible burden to bear.

Hats off, this was masterfully done (if sporadically updated). I think this means you're officially without WIP now, unless there's something I'm not thinking of... will you start a new project, or just keep entertaining us with your fab comics?

Whiplash everywhere! As I said to Eerian, I was a bit worried about that, but I wasn't sure how else to go about it. Not really a situation where Starscream can be like "Knock knock, anyone home in here? head's up, I'm about to tear your world apart, kay? How about 4ish, tomorrow, what work for you?"

Had to be sudden and sneaky.

He's too smart, and knew Starscream for too long, to be fooled by mere battle damage and a broken vocalizer. But that he intentionally took Skywarp and had planned for this little domestic roleplay really did come as a shock.

Heee. There were one or two people that guessed, but I was curious to see if anyone would figure that out before the truth popped up. There was a really, really sneaky hint I put in there that I don't think anyone saw, though honestly, I would have been surprised and impressed if someone had.

Skyfire never once calls Skywarp, Starscream. Not once. He knew who he had, he knew what he was doing, and he's smart enough, even when ill, to be very sneaky and thorough about it. If Starscream hadn't been actively looking, Skywarp may have been permanently MIA. They live a long, long time, and Skyfire was more than willing to wait for Stockholm to set in. After all, the mech he was pretending to have was never exactly the cuddly affectionate sort. Maybe this one could be. And if it took longer, well, a crabby seeker just made the 'little domestic role play' more authentic.

It was more than just having Starscream back - it was about repairing what they'd both lost, rebuilding a peaceful world in which the two of them are just happy partners and lovers without the weight of civil war crushing them both.

That actually makes me want to cry for the big guy. Poor Skyfire. Poor, poor Skyfire. Now that you mention it, he probably would go off to howl to the stars in anguish after that. He had what he wanted, and now its gone, just like that, and the real object of his affections never wants to deal with him again.

Sporadically update... WIP?

Ha ha, yeaaaaah. I found this really hard to write, for many reasons, but most of that was from having a massively full plate, creatively speaking, for 8 months, followed by an even bigger burn out. I still have one more kink meme thing I promised to write (over a year ago now, so shameful), and then some of my own projects, some for TF fandom, and some of my own. One I'm looking forward to is the War's over story with Thundercracker as the caretaker of Hot Rod I've been thinking about. It has no clear ending, but it'll be fun to drabble with. I'm exited to play with their personalities in opposition to one another.

And oh yes- comics will continue. Comics are a passion of mine, so thank you for calling them fab! There's one I hope to get going for the tentacle community. Oh ho ho ho ho.
