Since today was the only day when none of us had to attend any events, I did the laundry and went job-hunting today ^___^ It takes a long time to do laundry at OIT (45 minutes to wash and 60 minutes to dry), so I told myself that every Sunday will be Laundry Day, regardless of how busy I am. Yes, that means I will do it at 2 AM in the morning. It's the way I grew up.
I filled out applications at Office Depot and Blockbuster, took applications from GameStop and Borders, and had suggestions of applications from Baskin Robbins and Cold Stone. So far, I have a chance for interviews at Office Depot and Blockbuster. I don't think I'll get a job at Office Depot, though, since I don't have any real experience with selling electronic things. Oh well ::crosses fingers:: here's hoping for the best.
There's also a job at the Night Owl Snack Bar on campus if things don't work out. Hopefully no one's beaten me to it. I do plan on going back out again and applying at more unconventional places, but I'm really praying that I get a call back from Blockbuster soon. Their application was looooooong X______X
Classes start tomorrow, and ironically, something else will happen tomorrow. I'm excited, but I'm also a little scared. I've only told a handful amount of people that I haven't programmed anything in my entire life, and I'm going into a dual hardware/software major. What if everyone makes fun of me? What if the professor doesn't take me seriously? What if I fail? I seriously want to succeed and achieve my dreams, but I'm afraid that I won't have any competence for it.
I may not have what it takes to be in the video game business T______T
Wait wait! ::smacks herself:: Don't think like that! Think positive! ::sends out positive vibes::
Oh well. At least I'll have psychology to fall back on lol
Oh yeah, I took pictures of my dorm room, but I don't think I have a card reader on my laptop to upload them, so pictures will have to be put on hold until I can find a way. Be patient, my dear friends! ^___^
